The Marconi Automotive Museum has the only Vintage Slot Car Display in Southern California!
Below are photos of the current display, which shows the evolution of slot racing cars in America from 1960 to 1990.
The display is constantly updated as we find more interesting items. Labels clearly identify the items, which are in excellent original condition.

The History of "Pro" racing, in 5 shelves...
Starting from the bottom shelf, this showcase re-traces the fantastic history of hand-built "pro" cars, devised by smarter kids after their disappointment with commercially available kits. It also started a trend which was harmful to the hobby, driving away the average hobbyist who could not compete, and the modelers who wanted to race true scale model cars. |

1960's Champion of Chamblee and Mura parts fill a shelf.
Below is Jose Rodriguez Jr. only known surviving slot car racing box, dating from 1967-68. The cars are intact, and the box in superb condition. It was found in a swap meet in New York City by slot car enthusiast Albert Bisaccia in 1998. |
